Kimimiz hayatta bazı yolların sebepsiz kesişmediğine inanışımızdan kadere inanırız. Şimdi dönüp baktığımızda yoldan geçen o an bizim için herhangi birisi yarın bir gün hayatımıza çok farklı şekilde girebilmekte.  Aslında kaderin ağlarını okuyabilsek, hani o filmlerde keşke bunu bilseydi baş karakter öncesinde şunu yapar, şöyle olurdu gibi ihtimalleri farklı bir boyuta taşımış olurduk ama o zamanda hayat bu kadar bilinmez ve bunun sonucunda ise belkide bu kadar yaşanılır olmazdı.

Viyana’da 1913 yılı da öyle bir dönemdi. Birbirine yakın sokaklar arasında tarih sahnesinden çok yakından tanıdığımız ve dünya ideolojisine yösan veren Stalin, Adolf Hitler, Sigmund Freud, Josip Broz, Leon Trotsky ve Tito gibi kişilere Viyana ev sahipliği yaptı.

O dönem Viyana, çoğunluğu Bohemia ve Moravia’dan geldiği gibi nüfusunun yarısından azı kendi yerlisinden oluştuğundan multi kültürel bir yapıya sahipti. Bu yüzden Avusturya-Macaristan İmparatorluğunun ordusu Almanca hariç, 11 dilde komuta edilmesi  gerekiyordu.

Osmanlı İmpratorluğu’nun 1683 yılında başarısız Viyana kuşatması sonucu şehre miras bıraktığı kahve kültürünün gelişmesinden sonra ileri gelen tartışmaların ve konuşmaların yapıldığı mekanlar olan cafe’ler de ortaya çıkmış ve bu multi kültürel ortamı daha da kaynaştırmıştır. Bu dönem, Freud, Cafe Landtmann‘da takılırken, Trotsky ve Hitler ise buradan çok kısa mesafe uzaklıkta olan Cafe Central sık uğrak yerleriydi.

Çocukken Viyana’ya taşınmış ünlü nörolog Sigmund Freud’un 1938′ yılında Avusturya’nın Nazilere bağlanmasından dolayı şehirden ayrılmasına neden olan etkili ve o dönem aynı sokaklarda belkide yanından geçen Adolf Hitler’den bir haberdi.

Hitler ise hepimizin bildiği gibi Viyana Güzel Sanatlar Akademisini kazanamamış hayatını resim yaparak sürdürmeye çalışan orada sade bir gençti. Hitler nereden bilecekti ki, belkide aynı cafede bir şeyler yiyip içerken yan masasında ise Stalin olduğunu ve yıllar sonra bu kişinin en büyük hayalinin kendisini canlı ele geçirmek ve bir kafes içinde şehir şehir dolaştırıp halka teşhir etmek olduğunu.

O sırada ise Stalin kısa süreliğine Viyana’ya gelip, Trotsky ile bir arada görüşmeler yaptığı sırada aynı zamanda Marksizim üzerine dünya tarihine yön verecek bir çalışma içindeyken, Trotsky bilemezdi “Pravda” için uğraşlar içindeyken, sonrasında Stalin iktidar olunca Türkiye’ye sürgün edilmek zorunda kalabileceğini.

Aynı yılda ise Yugoslavya’nın kurucusu, Stalin’in düşmanı ve aynı zamanda Büyük Macar Devriminde büyük rol sahibi olan Tito ise Viyana’da maden işçisi olarak çalışıyordu. Avusturya-Macar krallığının varisi Franz Ferdinand ise, Belvedere sarayında nereden bilebilecekti ki etrafında bu kadar tarihe yön verebilecek insan varken bir sene sonra  suikast sonucu ölümü 1. Dünya Savaşına patlak verecek bir bahanenin resmi adı olabileceğini.

Yanımızdan akıp giden hayatlar aslında o kadar basit, sebepsiz ve gelişi güzel değil. Bugün kendimizden yaşça küçük gördüğümüz kişi yarın bizim hayatımızı kurtarabilecek bir doktor, yoldan geçerken dikkat etmediğimiz birisi, belki geleceğe yön verecek fikirleri sahip birisi olduğunu bilemeyeceğiz. Kader bu yüzden ağlarını hep örer, önemli olan bunun bilincine varabilmek ve zamanı gelince olanı yaşayabilmek.

Some of us are convinced that there are some ways in life that do not cross without cause which is calling as “destiny”. When we look back our experience, imagine that there is a guy who is walking on the road can enter into one’s life tomorrow one day as well. Actually, in our lifes, conceive that if we could read the network of destiny as films, we would conduct the main hero in that film whether you need to give priority for this case or due to its wrong way can strive to change and beyond that we would carry the possibilities to another dimmesion for a better result but at that time, also the life wouldn’t become that much unknown and due to the fact that maybe the life wouldn’t able to live as much as right now.

1913 was a period in Vienna like that. Stalin, Adolf Hitler, Sigmund Freud, Josip Broz, Leon Trotsky and Tito, who we know very closely from the scene of history, were living amongst the nearby streets, and who are leading the world ideology, hosted Vienna.

Less than half of the city’s two million residents were native born and about a quarter came from Bohemia and Morayia and there was multi cultural diversity in Vienna. Officers in the Austro-Hungarian Army had to be able to give commands in 11 languages besides German, each of which had an official translation of the National Hymn.

And this unique melange created its own cultural phenomenon, the Viennese coffee-house. Legend has its genesis in sacks of coffee left by the Ottoman army following the failed Turkish siege of 1683. Freud’s favourite haunt, the Cafe Landtmann, still stands on the Ring, the renowned boulevard which sorrounds the city’s historic Innere Stadt. Trotsky and Hitler frequented Cafe Central.

Sigmund Freud, a well-known neurologist who moved to Vienna in childhood how would know at that time, he was sharing  the same street but after years, Adolf Hitler will cause for him to leave from this city in 1938 due to Austrian annexed to Nazi.

Hitler, as we all know, was a simple young man who was trying to progress his life there with his paint, after he did not win at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. How would Hitler know that maybe he would have eaten something in the same cafeteria and that there was Stalin on the side table, and that after years, this person’s greatest dream would be to seize himself alive and circulate the city in a cage to the public.

At that time, while Stalin came to Vienna for a brief period and was in negotiations with Trotsky, while working in a direction to direct world history on Marxism, Trotsky could not know that while he was focused on “Pravda”, in future, he would have to be exiled to Turkey after Stalin was in power.

In the same year Tito, who was the founder of Yugoslavia, the enemy of Stalin, and who also played a major role in the Great Hungarian Revolution, was working as a metal worker in Vienna. Franz Ferdinand, the heir of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in the palace of Belvedere that while he was among such important people, after a year how he could know that to be “the official name of an excuse” to erupt into World War I.

The lives that flow from our sides are not actually as much as simple, without reason, and random. Yesterday, any person who we saw as a younger age than us, can be doctor who can save our life for tomorrow. This is why fate always wraps up their nets, what is important is to be conscious of it and to live what it is when the time comes.
